Exhibition Dates July 9 to September 10, 2023 Bowers Museum 2002 North Main Street, Santa Ana, California 92706. I am proud to announce that my painting, Moon Over the Sierras, has won the Southwest Art Magazine Award of Excellence in the California Art Club 112th Gold Medal Exhibition at the Bowers Museum. It is a great honor to have been given this award when there were so many other amazing paintings included in the show. Since its 1909 inauguration, the California Art Club has been dedicated to promoting and supporting contemporary-traditional fine art through championing painting and sculpture featuring representational practices. The Annual Gold Medal Exhibition is the most vital platform for demonstrating the best of the realist genre. While participating artists employ time-honored fine art techniques, their featured works in this un-themed exhibition seek to innovate with modern messages that address societal issues from diversity to the environment.
